- School of Professional Studies: The UNC Charlotte School of Professional Studies (SPS) is a powerhouse of offerings for learners during any stage of life.
- Learning & Development Portal: UNC Charlotte partners with Cornerstone On Demand, a leading global provider of talent management software to provide a robust learning management system that enhances our ability to develop, engage and retain top talent. The Learning and Development Portal is the go-to-place to find and track all the training opportunities available to you—virtual, face-to-face and online learning—all in one portal.
- Prevention & Mental Health Education: There are several programs provided by the Center for Wellness Promotion to help the community partner with the mental health professionals to identify, respond to, refer, and assist students at risk.
- ASPIRE: A no-cost certificate program for employees who want to set goals and put a plan into action for professional development through the intentional use of personal strategic planning.
- LEAD: Required training for supervisors of employees at UNC Charlotte. Individual sessions can be attended by those in non-supervisory roles in the interest of leadership development and succession planning or as refresher training for those who have already completed LEAD certification.
- CCL Leadership Development Program: Human Resources provides three scholarships annually for qualified individuals to attend the highly regarded Leadership Development Program offered through the internationally respected Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, NC.
- Professional Administrators Certification (PAC): The program provides participants with a strong understanding of UNC Charlotte’s policies and procedures to strengthen the depth and quality of administrative support staff. Enroll here.

Funding/Grants/Scholarships:
- Tuition waiver: The Tuition Waiver program enables eligible employees to have the tuition waived for courses taken at UNC Charlotte or any of the other schools in the UNC System.
- Janet B. Royster Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship promotes staff development for permanent, full-time, non-faculty employees, as well as recognizes and honors Janet Royster’s leadership and dedication to all UNC employees.
